Research
My research focus concerns the general use of biomarker-based approaches to assess exposure to carcinogenic and mutagenic compounds and to early detect disease with a more specific interest on bladder cancer after exposure to aromatic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Two major areas in which I work include biomarkers of the internal dose and the identification of non-invasive bladder cancer-specific biomarkers in urine and their effective use in occupational and clinical health surveillance (see literature list).
