The number of reports of suspected occupational diseases fell by more than 60 per cent in 2023. This is according to preliminary figures from the Germans social accident insurance institutions for the past year, which their association, the DGUV, published today.
Commenting on today's discussion of the Cannabis Act in the Bundesrat, Dr Stefan Hussy, Director General of the DGUV, said: "The Cannabis Act will come into force. For the world of work and educational institutions, the German social accident insurance institutions are sticking to their position: cannabis - just like alcohol and other drugs - must have no place here.
